Will I Lose My Licence For Speeding?
Yes, it is possible that you will lose your licence because of a speeding fine. You can lose your licence because of two different reasons:
- You have accumulated too many demerit points (the number of demerit points depends on your driver’s licence); or
- You committed a high-speed offence (41km/hr or more over the limit).
Can I Avoid Losing My Licence?
If you are facing the loss of your licence because of speeding fines, you might have some options. If you think that you might be at risk of losing your licence, you need to speak with an experienced speeding fine lawyer immediately to ensure that you do not lose any opportunities you might have. If you rely on your licence for your work or family life, you might end up losing more than your licence if you don’t act quickly.
